Air France
Air France fleet of over 350 aircraft serves 199 destinations in 85 countries worldwide fliying over 1,700 daily flights.
Following two years of almost stable capacity, Air France will launch its summer schedule (28 March-30 October 2004), featuring a 9% increase in capacity in terms of ASK (available seat kilometres) compared with the summer schedule in 2003.
The 7 new destinations in the Air France network are Canton, Teheran, Pointe-Noire, Malabo, Kuwait City, Doha and Tashkent:
At the end of January, Air France launched Dedicate, a new service especially tailored to professionals, linking up the most far-flung construction and production sites around the world with its Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle hub.
For this new service, Air France has invested in a dedicated fleet of new Airbus A319s fitted with extra fuel tanks that extend their range and with cabin configurations designed to meet the needs of business travellers.
As from 14 June, Kuwait City, Doha in Qatar and Tashkent in Uzbekistan will be added to the first Dedicate routes opened in January: Malabo in Equatorial Guinea and Pointe-Noire in the Republic of Congo.
The first long-haul aircraft have now been refurbished in line with the New Air France Travel Concept announced in September 2003. Passengers on the Paris-New York (Newark) and Paris-Bamako routes are already enjoying the new cabin decor and services for which the entire long-haul fleet will progressively be refitted.
The buoyant economic climate on the Asian continent has prompted Air France to expand capacity significantly in the region: up 34% compared with service last summer, or up 10% over the schedule initially announced before the breakout of the SARS.
