Brief History of Horizon Air
1981: Horizon Air is formed to take advantage of the Northwest U.S. routes abandoned by larger airlines after the Airline Deregulation act of 1978.
1982: Horizon Air acquires Air Oregon.
1983: Horizon Air acquires Transwestern Airlines.
1986: Horizon Air is acquired by Alaska Airlines.
